The data warehouse and business intelligence competency center (DWBICC) supports the promotion and application of modern technologies for data integration, analysis, more effective decision making and the management of companies, as well as public administration organisations. DWBICC combines a detailed knowledge of the latest software and hardware technologies, methodologies and project management with expert knowledge and practical experience from the field of data warehouses (DW) and business intelligence (BI). DWBICC infrastructure is selected so that for the individual components of the data warehouses and business intelligence it uses components from several suppliers and thus enables the independent evaluation of possible variants and the design of such a configuration of technical and software equipment as best complies with the customer requirements. The considered variants and designed configuration can be tested out immediately in practice with the use of real customer data.

The use of the infrastructure of the competency center represents a unique possibility for the execution of tests under the supervision of representatives of the customer or independent experts selected by him.

Authorised training
DWBICC has at its disposal four computer classrooms completely equipped with modern computer and presentation equipment. Depending on the requirements of the customer, there are either standard authorised training sessions for analysts and regular users or specialised training sessions tailored in compliance with the needs of the DW and BI project.

Different possibilities for fi nancing and operation
The acquisition of a DW platform usually represents a considerable initial investment. In order to reduce and spread the initial investments, DWBICC along with partners offers the possibility of financial leasing.
