The third year of the specialist BI Forum 2011 conference is successfully behind us

The 3rd year of the specialist BI Forum Conference, which traditionally focused on the issue of data warehouses and business intelligence, took place in Prague in the OKsystem Company’s conference hall on Tuesday 15th November 2011. The motto of this year’s conference was: “Business Intelligence as part of information systems“ and "Mobile BI".
The third year of the conference was divided into 3 blocks again and its contents covered the following subjects: BI as part of IS; innovations in data and database infrastructure; mobile BI. After an introductory speech by Mr Martin Procházka (director of OKsystem), Mr Tomáš Pospíšil (Oracle) introduced themselves, with his lecture on analytical BI, in the first morning block. The seconds in the morning block were gentlemens Ivo Rosol and Radek Kokeš from the host company OKsystem shared infomration about the using BI in big company information systems. The first part of the conference block ended with a lecture by Robert Havránek (Microsoft), which described new access to data vizualization.
Martin Grof (Oracle), who fascinated the public with his interesting contribution about Hyperion software and reporting tools. Michael Juřek (Microsoft), presented a practical demonstration of BI tool to attendees.
The only one speaker from abroad, Mr Christian Langmayr (MicroStrategy) commenced the afternoon section of the conference with a lecture about important trends which shaking the corporate world and show us how to manage them. The second guest from OKsystem, Petr Zeman, talked about the current trend in use of mobile and smart phones for business intelligence requirements.
Mr Petr Koubský moderated the whole event in front of a full hall containing over 150 managers and IT specialists from the commercial and public sector. We hope to meet you again during the fourth year of the BI Forum 2012 conference.
